We need foster parents to love and care for the pups rescued from shelters until they are ready to go to their forever homes. The duration of foster care can range from a couple of days to several weeks, or more for dogs with special needs. The majority of our foster pets go to their loving forever home within a few months!

Each additional foster volunteer allows Carolina German Shepherd Rescue to save one more life for a dog, and in turn find a new pack to join. For families considering adoption but not yet sure, fostering provides an opportunity to try out the new addition to the family before making a long-term adoption commitment.
